The Indian Health Camp of New Jersey, in collaboration with Durga Mandir, will hold its annual health screening and disease awareness and prevention fair from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 13 at Durga Mandir, 4240 Route 27, Princeton.
The health fair will be open to all pre-registered participants over age 40 who are uninsured or underinsured.
Screenings will include blood test, EKG, physical exam, dental exam, mental health screening and counseling, vision screening for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, cardiology and physical therapy counseling, various types of cancer screening and prevention education, chronic disease self management, diabetes and stroke education, HIV testing and education, dietary counseling, pharmacy counseling and many other ancillary services offered by physicians and health care professionals.
All pre-registered participants for a blood test are requested to arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. He/she should fast from midnight, take any prescription medications and drink water in the morning of the blood test.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all participants and volunteers.
