The Freehold Township 13U Little League team must win in second of two games today, July 25, to remain alive in the Eastern Regional tournament of the Intermediate 50/70 Baseball League.
Today, in Commack, New York, site of the Eastern Regional, Freehold Township opened with a 7-5 victory over Keystone of Pennsylvania. Freehold Township now plays Commack today at 2 p.m. Freehold Township had lost to Commack, 5-4, on July 23.
Freehold Township stayed alive with its 12-4 victory over New York’s Gates-Chili yesterday, July 24.
If victorious in each game today, Freehold Township must win twice tomorrow, July 26, to win the region and advance to the 50/70 World Series in California that urns from July 30 through Aug. 6.
