Monroe begins registration for Integrated Preschool Program

The Monroe Township School District offers a half-day Integrated Preschool Program for a limited number of typically-developing children who will be 3 or 4 years of age by Oct. 31.

The program is designed to give special needs children and typically-developing 3- and 4-year-old children the opportunity to learn together. The program inspires creativity and will promote emotional, social and language development.

This tuition-based program is open to all eligible Monroe students. Each class will operate 2.5 hours per day, Monday-Friday, while school is in session, at Barclay Brook Elementary, 358 Buckelew Ave., and Mill Lake Elementary, 115 Monmouth Road. Classes for the 3-year-old session will be in the morning and classes for the 4-year-old session will be in the afternoon.

Each class is instructed by a certified preschool/special education teacher with the assistance of paraprofessionals in the classroom.

Parents will be responsible for transporting their child to and from the program. No transportation, before care or after care is available.

To register or for more information, call Cherie McCoy at 609-642-6128, ext. 4013.
