The Old Bridge Library will continue its regular offerings of health and wellness programs with the following sessions in September:
Learn to Control Your Diabetes will run from 1-3:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 7-Oct. 19. This workshop is geared for Medicare recipients afflicted with diabetes. It is sponsored by the Regional Chronic Disease Coalition of Middlesex and Union Counties. Registration is necessary, either online at www.oldbridgelibrary.org or by calling 732-721-5600, ext. 5033.
Understanding Parkinson’s Disease will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 11. Cheylena Williams from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Newe Brunswick, who also serves as a program coordinator with the American Parkinson Disease Association, will present information and strategies to help manage the disease.
A meditation workshop with Leah Chevalier will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing.
A lecture on knee and hip replacement surgery and recovery will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 19 by Renata Pac, clinical director at JAG Physical Therapy.
A session of Tai Chi is planned for 7 p.m. on Sept. 21 with certified instructor Katherine Kollias. Attendees should wear comfortable clothing.
