EAST BRUNSWICK – Playhouse 22 in East Brunswick has received eight New Jersey Association of Community Theatres (NJACT) Perry Nominations for shows performed during the 2016-17 season.
The production of “Death of a Salesman” garnered the most awards: Outstanding Production of a Play for Director Jon Heron and Producer Adam Neary; Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for Rupert Ravens; Outstanding Sound Design of a Play for Monica Alia; Outstanding Scenic Design of a Play for Dorothy Bitetto; and Outstanding Properties in a Play for Neary.
Outstanding Youth Actor in a Musical was awarded to JC DeMaria for “Grease,” while Outstanding Choreography went to Raven Dunbar for the same production.
Outstanding Stage Management of a Musical is for Jennifer Moffett for “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
Playhouse 22 is East Brunswick’s community theater, located at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center.
The awards ceremony will be held on Sept. 17 at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway.
