Cultural Events at the Old Bridge Library in October

The Old Bridge Public Library will host a range of cultural events in October at the library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Rt. 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center.

At 2 p.m. Oct. 8, the Hudson Shakespeare Company returns to the library to present Macbeth, Shakespeare’s eerie tale about the damaging physical and psychological effects of political ambition on those who seek power for its own sake.

At 2:30 p.m. Oct. 14, the Library will welcome members of Matawan’s Spotlight Players for A Celtic Experience, an afternoon of traditional and contemporary songs from the Celtic Nations.

Rounding out the cultural events, at 2 p.m. Oct. 29, the Garden State Speculative Fiction Writers (GSSFW) present Something’s Out There: A Reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven and Algernon Blackwood’s The Wendigo.

Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Old Bridge Food Pantry to these free events.
