The Metuchen High School field hockey team continues to rack up dominating victories this season.
Metuchen defeated Sayreville War Memorial High School, 6-2, on Sept. 26 in Metiuchen to improve its record to 7-1.
That victory over Sayreville signaled the fourth time this season that the Bulldogs won a game by four or more goals.
Metuchen junior Maeve Kenny scored three goals in the game, including two in the first half when the Bulldogs clicked on five unanswered goals after Sayreville took a 1-0 lead.
Juniors Sophia Caposina and Sarah Jeney and senior Diana Misrahi each scored one goal. Juniors Emily Glutz and Lauren Hausser provided assists, along with Kenny.
The Bulldogs experienced their first tie of the season in a 0-0 contest at South Plainfield High School on Sept. 28.
They were scheduled to visit South Brunswick High School on Oct. 2 and host Piscataway Township High School on Oct. 4. They visit Monroe Township High School on Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.
