The Old Bridge Library will present a series of technology classes in November that focus on how to best use helpful lifestyle apps and websites.
There will be a session on travel websites and apps at 11 a.m. on Nov. 8. It will examine new ways to start vacation planning through various sites and apps, and will provide tips on how to best use them to plan activities, itineraries and budgets.
“Record Your Personal History” will be presented at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10. This session will discuss ways to go beyond the family tree with interviews, oral historie, and more. It will help attendees discover what is needed to record and share family stories and memories.
There will be a program on the Groupon app/site at 6 p.m. on Nov. 14, which will show participants how to discover fun activities at reduced prices in their local neighborhoods. The session will examine available discounts on a range of happenings ranging from children’s activities to nightlife including new restaurants, spas and various merchants, or how to plan a trip at deep discounts.
There will be a session entitled “Brain Games for Seniors” at 11 a.m. on Nov. 29. This program will introduce apps and websites that allow seniors to keep their minds sharp and memory stimulated. It will explore entertaining and challenging high tech and “lo-tech” games, trivia questions, mental exercises and more.
