MARLBORO – The 10th annual edition of Marlboro Multi-Cultural Day will be held at Marlboro High School, Route 79, from 1-5 p.m. Nov. 5.
According to a press release from the event organizers, the free event
celebrates Marlboro’s cultural diversity and is made possible due to the support of the township, local businesses, schools, religious and cultural organizations.
All are welcome to attend the event.
Cultural performances will take place from 1-2:45 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This year’s performances will include traditional and contemporary music and dance from around the world – Tibet, India, Italy, Ireland,
Korea and America, as well as a Chinese yo-yo performance, according to the press release.
Immediately following the performances, guests are invited to visit the cultural displays, learn more about the participating countries and sample ethnic cuisine.
Craft demonstrations have included origami, Chinese knots and calligraphy. Younger visitors are given a “passport” which they can have stamped after they visit each “country.”
New participants and volunteers are welcome to get involved. For more information, email Alice Ng at [email protected] or call 732-616-9934.
