The Old Bridge Library will offer Halloween activities for local families.
At 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, there will be a screening of Tim Burton’s animated 2005 film, “The Corpse Bride.”
At 2 p.m. on Oct. 29, the Garden State Speculative Fiction Writers (GSSFW) will present “Something’s Out There: A Reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s ‘The Raven’ and Algernon Blackwood’s ‘The Wendigo.’”
On Oct. 28, the library will participate in Old Bridge’s annual “Spooktacular” celebration, taking place at the Old Bridge Municipal Center, Route 516 and Cottrell Road. There will be a “Baby Boo and Toddler Too” drop-in party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., geared to babies and children up to 3 years old. “Spooky Storytime” begins at 11 a.m., followed by crafts, sensory stations and activities specifically tailored for this age group. Children will also have the opportunity to trick-or-treat around the Library. In addition, there will be crafts and activities planned for older children as well.
On Oct. 31, there will be a Halloween Hullabaloo celebration from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will start with a holiday-themed storytime and craft. After the craft, children will parade around the library to different trick-or -treat stations. Costumes are not required, but are encouraged.
