An illustrated lecture on “The Lower East Side” by historian Marty Schneit will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the East Brunswick Public Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center.
From the comforts of the library’s plush chairs, the free event takes people on a trip to the Lower East Side and visit Schimmel’s Knishes, Katz’s Deli, Ansche Chesed, The Daily Forward and Rabbi Eisenberg, one of the few remaining torah scribes in the Lower East Side.
Schneit, a licensed New York City Tour Guide, will take people on a wonderful adventure back in time.
