On Nov. 28, the Count Basie Theatre will join forces with 94.3 The Point and The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation for a day-long live broadcast from the Basie raise funds for the Veterans Tickets Foundation (Vex Tix).
Vet Tix provides tickets to events which reduce stress, strengthens family bonds, build memories and encourage service members to stay engaged in the community, according to the Count Basie Theatre press release.
According to the release, money raised during the radiothon will go towards tickets to Count Basie Theatre events to be distributed to families through Vet Tix. The first $25,000 raised will be matched by The Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation based out of Toms River. Also, $1 from every ticket will be donated to the New Jersey Run for the Fallen.
