There will be an artist reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Gourgaud Gallery, Cranbury Town Hall to celebrate the art created from the Art in the Park plein air series sponsored by the Cranbury Arts Council.
Each month from May to October, a different Cranbury property hosts local artists to capture the scenes offered at their beautiful gardens and historic homes in Cranbury. The artists also painted in parks in and beyond the town.
The art will be on display through December making it a great time to purchase art for holiday gifts. Cash or a check made out to the Cranbury Arts Council is accepted as payment. All art that is sold gives a 20 percent donation to the Cranbury Arts Council in order to continue in its mission to promote and support the arts through its programs, classes, exhibits, summer art & technology camp and winter theatre camp. For additional information see www.cranburyartscouncil.org.
Anyone wishing to exhibit at the Gourgaud Gallery can obtain an application at the Gallery or at www.cranbury.org. For information on upcoming programs and events, join the group on facebook and on www.Gourgaudgallery.blogspot.com.
The gallery is located at Cranbury Town Hall (Old School Building), 23-A North Main Street, Cranbury. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed on Christmas Day); and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sundays, Dec. 3 and Dec. 17.
