The Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) boys’ cross-country team is the king of the running paths once again in New Jersey.
CBA won the NJSIAA Meet of Champions at Holmdel Park in Holmdel on Nov. 18. That finish signaled the seventh Meet of Champions title in the past eight years and the 22nd overall for CBA, which is the most in New Jersey history.
The Colts cruised into first place with 80 points and an average time of 16:24. Brian Hill led CBA with his seventh-place finish in a time of 15:58. Luke Reid followed for CBA with his 26th-place finish in a time of 16:23.
Also placing for CBA were Tim McInerney, who end in 32nd with a time of 16:28; Ryan Miele, who finished in 36th with a time of 16:34; and John Sheridan, who was 41st in 16:37.
Kingsway Regional High School placed second to CBA with 96 points, while Hopewell Valley Central High School came in third with 111 points and Princeton High School, which won the Meet of Champions last year, ended in fourth with 118 points.
