SOUTH AMBOY – The South Amboy Recreation Office is inviting residents to take part in its holiday events.
First place in the Holiday Home Decorating Contest will receive $200 for the best decorated house. All homes must be decorated by Dec. 11 and judging will take place on Dec. 15.
In conjunction with the voting, the Recreation Office and the South Amboy Historical Society will hold a trolley ride to South Amboy’s historic sites, as well as the homes entered in the decorating contest, at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 15. A guide from the Historical Society will provide history/background to the families as the Holly Jolly Holiday Ride travels throughout the city.
The contest and the trolley ride are only available to South Amboy residents.
