Frank C. Batula, 85, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Somerville, NJ the son of the late Frank and Stephanie Batula. Frank was a lifelong resident of Manville, New Jersey. Frank graduated Rutgers University in 1962 and spent his entire professional career as an executive with Ortho Pharmaceutical and retired after 38 years of service. Prior to attending college Frank was a proud member of the U.S. Army. He served on Manville’s Board of Education and was an active member of Christ the King Church in Manville, NJ.
Frank was a fitness enthusiast, he participated in numerous 10k events, loved golfing with his family and continued going to the gym well in to his eighties. He was a history buff and loved reading, opera and theater.
Frank was predeceased by his sister Claire Giombetti. He is survived by Jean, his loving wife of 62 years, daughter Cheryl and son-in-law Tony Bernardo, daughter Linda and son-in-law David Berry and son Frank and daughter-in-law Donna Batula. He is also survived by his grandchildren Luke and his wife Leah, Tim, Dustin, Amanda, Frank and David as well as his great grandson Elliott.
His family will remember him for the guidance and support he provided throughout his life, the importance he placed on their education, but most importantly he will be remembered for his love, kindness, generosity, devotion to God and the strong family bond he created. Please pry that our Lord will accept him with love, mercy and forgiveness. He will be sadly missed.
