Future Stars Gymnastics USAG competitive Level 2, 3, and Xcel teams started their competitive season on Oct. 14.
Since then, girls are bringing home a number of Gold, Silver, Bronze medals, as well as team award trophies.
The Level 3 gymnasts have already qualified for the USAG New Jersey State Championships, which will be held in February of 2018. Level 2 and Xcel Team girls will have their State Championship in May of 2018.
“Our individualized training approach differentiates us from other schools and provides gymnasts the quality training they need to succeed,” Tatyana Godenko, head coach at Future Stars said.
On Dec. 3, Future Stars Team girls competed at the “Greater New York Invitational in Suffern, N.Y. It was a great meet for Level 3 gymnasts as they succeeded in all of the events.
Grace Miller (9 years old) of Hamilton took first in the All-Around with a score of 36.875. Miller also earned Gold medals on Floor Exercise (9.40) and on Balance Beam (9.275). Miller took second place on the Uneven Bars (8.80) and third place on Vault (9.40). Miller has had a very nice start of the season, winning the meets in October and November in the All-Around as well.
Megan Rauscher (10 years old) of Allentown took first in the All-Around with a 35.75. She earned a Gold medal on Floor exercise (9.4). Rauscher’s Vault earned her another victory with a score of 9.525. She also took second place on Beam (8.65). Raunchier has had a very nice start to the season, placing second and third in the All-Around during the past few meets.
Emma Faith Bullard (8 years old) of Columbus took second place on Floor Exercise with a great 9.55 and third place on Vault with a high score of 9.60. At a meet in November, Faith’s 9.50 on Floor Exercise earned her another Gold Medal. She also won Vault with a 9.35.
For the Xcel Diamond team, Lauren Eng (16 years old) of Allentown took a Gold medal in the All-Around with 34.675, on Floor Exercise (9.40), on Vault (8.875), on Balance Beam (8.75), and on Bars as well. At her first meet on Nov. 12, Eng was a winner on Floor Exercise with a great 9.40. She also took second on Vault (8.95) and tied for the Silver medal in the All-Around with 34.70.
For the Level 2 team, Anastasiia Kislina (7 years old) of Princeton brought home medals on Floor Exercise (9.05) and Vault (8.90) in her first competitive year. In her first meet on Nov. 12, Kislina was a winner on Floor Exercise (9.00), also taking third place on Vault (9.275) and Balance Beam (8.775).
The Future Stars Team trains at Future Stars Gymnastics Academy, located at 4 Tennis Court in Hamilton. They are coached by Tatyana Godenko, a former Soviet National Team competitor in 1980s, who has almost 30 years of coaching experience.
