The Woman’s Club of Hillsborough recently held its annual Basket Auction and 50/50 Raffle. All proceeds from the Basket Auction are donated to various charities including Hillsborough Township Social Services, Juvenile Diabetes, Girl Scouts and Habitat for Humanity, just to name a few.
In addition, the Woman’s Club provides several scholarships to graduating seniors at Hillsborough High School and one graduating senior from Hillsborough at the Somerset County Vo-Tech. One-half of the proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will be given to PCA-NJ (Prevent Child Abuse-NJ) which is our two-year project in conjunction with the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs.
We would like to thank the following companies and individuals who so generously donated to our auction. Without their help, it would not be possible to host this event: Central Jersey Nurseries, Raritan Valley Planetarium, The Cheesecake Factory, Garden State Discovery Museum, Vinnie Brand’s Stress Factory, Trenton Thunder, McCarter Theatre Center, Gary’s Wine and Marketplace, The Day Spa at Nelson’s Corner, Applebee’s of Hillsborough, McCaffrey’s Food Markets, Walt Disney World Co., Somerset Patriots, Adventure Aquarium, Petrock’s Bar and Grille, The New Jersey Devils, Wegman’s, George Street Playhouse, Eric S. Wasser, Esq., and Willow’s Bend Irrigation.
In addition, thank you to all of our members who donated baskets and baked goods for the auction. Please come out and join us at our next Basket Auction on September 14, 2018 in the Community Room at the Hillsborough Municipal Building.
