Uma and Julian Kelath donated $300 of their chore money from the past year to buy the acorn plaque on the Friends of the South Brunswick Library’s Giving Tree, located on the wall outside the library’s Food for Thought Café. The children presented their check at the library’s open house on Dec. 2 to Susan Edelman, president of the Friends. The Giving Tree displays brass plaques of birds, acorns, leaves, branches or stones that memorialize loved ones past and present.
