The Educational Advisory Board of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission is offering internships to students enrolled in film, television and communications degree programs throughout the year.
Internships are now available for the spring 2018 semester and are open to New Jersey residents who are matriculating at colleges and universities, according to a press release. Interns are unpaid and college credits must be arranged through a student’s faculty advisor.
During the semester internship in the Newark office of the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission, students become involved with the pre-production and production of motion pictures, television programs and commercials.
Interns assist in the scouting of film locations and the preparation of research material for presentation to production companies. Students are also afforded the opportunity to visit the sets of features and television shows that are being made in the state, according to the press release.
Interested students may request further information by calling the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission at 973-648-6279. More information for the commission can be found at www.film.nj.gov or by emailing the commission at [email protected]
