Michele Witkowski, an Old Bridge resident and a biology teacher at Edison High School, has been applying the tools of science, education and conservation to become a leader in the conservation community.
In mid-December 2017, Witkowski is expected to conclude her master’s course of study with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in biology from Miami University in Ohio through the university’s Project Dragonfly program.
Since joining the Advanced Inquiry Program (AIP) master’s in 2015, Witkowski has traveled to Hawaii and taken courses on the web from Miami University while also participating in on-site and field studies at Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo.
