Mr. Bimal K. Banerjee of South Brunswick, NJ, Passed away peacefully on Sunday Jan 14, at The University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro at the age of 91.
Bimal K. Banerjee is survived by his daughter Anjana Banerjee, son in law Lahir Patel, of North Carolina, daughter Rina Banerjee, granddaughter Ananya of New York City, daughter Chandana Banerjee, of New Jersey, granddaughter Indrani, and Hallie.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dolly Banerjee Bimal K. Banerjee was born on January 1St, 1927, in Puri India to Durga Charan and Santi Sudha Banerjee of Puri, India.
Bimal K. Banerjee graduated from Jadavpur University in Kolkata India with a degree in Civil Engineering There he worked for Indian Aluminum Company. Later he migrated to London UK in 1967 followed by another move to USA in 1970. Bimal K Banerjee received his Graduate degree in Engineering from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. He worked in the Nuclear Industry at various locations throughout the US till his retirement in 1990.
Bimal K. Banerjee moved to South Brunswick in 1994, and resided there till the time of his death. Bimal was loved by all his friends and relatives. He never hesitated to help anyone who needed it. He enjoyed teaching and advising all who asked, to help them to afford a better life. He enjoyed studying computers and later health and medical science, yoga and cooking.
Bimal K. Banerjee was cremated on Jan.17Th, 2018. There will be a memorial service at Bharat Sevashram Sangha of North America a charitable organization located at, 3490 Route 27, Kendall Park, NJ 08824 on Wednesday Jan 24th at 3:30 PM. Service will be conducted by Swami Amarnathananda.
