Trinity Hall High School will expand campus in Tinton Falls

An increasing enrollment has resulted in Trinity Hall High School’s plans to expand its campus in Tinton Falls.

Trinity Hall, an all-girls college preparatory high school located on the former Fort Monmouth military base, plans to expand the facility to accommodate its growing enrollment by constructing a two-story addition with a footprint of 11,230 square feet and a total area of 22,460 square feet, according to a prepared statement from Fort Monmouth.

The addition will include additional classrooms, office/administrative space, a multipurpose room, a chapel and a new entrance lobby.

In February of 2015, Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) issued a Request for Offers to Purchase for building 2290, the former Child Development/Daycare Center on Fort Monmouth.

The parcel consisted of 7.4 acres of land and a 19,600-square-foot, one-story building that was constructed in 1996. The Fort Monmouth Reuse and Redevelopment Plan contemplated reuse of the building 2290 as a child care/school facility.

Following board approval of a Purchase and Sale and Redevelopment Agreement, FMERA sold the property to Trinity Hall on Feb. 27, 2015.

Trinity Hall renovated and opened the facility in time for the 2015 – 2016 school year.

The Tinton Falls Planning Board approved for the high school to expand its campus during a recent meeting, according to FMERA’s Senior Marketing & Development Officer Sarah Giberson.

We have approval from the Tinton Falls Planning Board and the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority,” said Mary Sciarrillo, Trinity Hall High School’s Head of School. “We are looking forward to a winter 2018 groundbreaking once all permits are secured. The new addition will double our classroom capacity and allow us to serve our growing student population. We anticipate completion of our project in time for the 2018-2019 school year.”
The school’s Gala, ‘Celebrating the Year of Branching Out,’ will be held on March 9, at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park. This fundraiser will support our capital campaign, according to Sciarrillo.

“The opening of Trinity Hall marked another milestone in the fort’s redevelopment,” FMERA Director of Real Estate Dave Nuse said. “Bringing an excellent school on-site was essential to developing the dynamic community we’ve envisioned for both Fort Monmouth and the Borough of Tinton Falls.”

“Since its inception, Trinity Hall has been a school that provides opportunity. Once we moved to our permanent and forever home on historic Fort Monmouth, we realized just how much opportunity we can provide to our greater community,” Sciarrillo said.

“We are excited and thrilled with the Tinton Falls Planning Board’s vote allowing us to expand our campus. We remain committed to our students and their families and are ready to be a resource for local businesses, non-profits, municipal leadership, educators and the community,” Sciarrillo said. “We vow to be good neighbors and responsible citizens as we help to revitalize this beautiful town. We feel fortunate to be in Tinton Falls and feel blessed to have the support of this community.”
