Private Allen H. Pashley of Sayreville graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, on Feb. 1.
The soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, U.S. Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills, battlefield operations, tactics, use of various weapons, and weapons defenses.
He earned high scores in weapon training for which he was awarded a marksmanship badge.
Pashley is the son of Allen and Dorothy Pashley of Sayreville. His grandparents are Malgorzata Sibilski of Sayreville as well as Donald and Kathleen Pashley of Parlin.
He graduated from Sayreville War Memorial High School in 2017. He is now attending his Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia.
