Justin Cohen, a management major from Morganville, is among the 106 professional golf management students at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C., with a 3.0 grade point average or higher. A 2.0 GPA is required to remain enrolled in the program. The PGA golf management program prepares students for a successful career in the golf industry by combining academic studies and professional golf training experiences. PGA students can major in accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, or hospitality, resort and tourism management and receive the PGA designation when they have completed their academic and PGA membership requirements.

Blake M. Small of Colts Neck is participating in a St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y., off-campus study program during the 2018 spring semester. Blake is majoring in economics and is studying with St. Lawrence University’s Liberal Arts in New York City program.

Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester: Manalapan residents Rachel Dau, Rahul Mehta, Christian Tringali, Chase Broder and Max Rais; Marlboro residents Maxwell Freeman, Zacharia Hasan, Michael Manzon and Lisa Ramdas; Morganville residents Justin Chen and Katie Glass; and Freehold residents Emily Fecsko, Megan Hoffman, Brittany Joline, Joshua Rosenberg and Ilana Sanchez.

Brianna Cucinelli of Morganville has been placed on the academic honors list for the 2017 fall semester at the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck. Brianna is the daughter of Robert and Bernadette Cucinelli and is a 2017 graduate of Freehold Township High School.

Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, has named Michael Somma, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Salvatore Somma of Colts Neck, to the dean’s list following the 2017 fall semester. Michael is a 2015 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy. He is majoring in economics.

Chaitya Shah of Freehold earned faculty honors for the 2017 fall semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Ga. Faculty honors is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

Kaitlyn Freeman of Manalapan participated in a production of “Sister Act” as part of the production team painting crew at Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa. The show was performed from Feb. 22-25.
