The Sons of The American Legion Squadron 401 in South Brunswick offers the Ernie Wilson Jr. Memorial Scholarship to local high school seniors who join the SAL.
Application deadline is April 15.
The Sons of the American Legion was created in 1932,, composed of boys and men of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the United States military and became eligible for membership in the American Legion.
The SAL supports the American Legion in supporting post events, veterans programs, Veterans Administration home and hospital volunteerism, children and youth projects, and fundraising. SAL members are eligible for the same local benefits, such as post hall rental discounts and national discounts as American Legion members.
Squadron 401 meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the post hall, 148 Major Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.
