Stephen Binckes of Howell graduated from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y., in December 2017, earning a Master of Science in sports science.
Brian Swank of Jackson has graduated from Delaware Valley University, Doylestown, Pa., with a doctorate degree in educational leadership.
Emma R. Sinnott of Howell was named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester at Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y.
DaShaun Williams, the son of Andre and Karen Williams of Jackson, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison. He spent the fall semester studying abroad at FDU’s affiliated campus, Wroxton University in the United Kingdom. DaShaun is a 2015 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School. He expects to graduate in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in theater arts with a double concentration in musical theater and design/technical theater.
Taylor Potter of Howell is a member of the Delaware Valley University, Doylestown, Pa., Pre-Veterinary Club. Taylor traveled with the club adviser, Dr. Pamela Reed, to Auburn University in Alabama to attend the American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association annual symposium from March 23-24. Delaware Valley’s Pre-Veterinary Club was recognized with an Outstanding Club Community Service Award at the event. The club’s community service activities included organizing a campus-wide event to help victims of hurricanes and other natural disasters, volunteering at a local animal shelter throughout the year, and participating in other campus events.
Kenneth Bradley of Jackson, a journalism student at Ithaca College, Ithaca, N.Y., traveled to Washington, D.C., to assist NBC and MSNBC with their coverage of the March for Our Lives. Kenneth worked with camera crews who were gathering footage of the march.
Delaware Valley University, Doylestown, Pa., announced that Bryanna Garnett of Jackson was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society on March 25. Alpha Lambda Delta encourages superior scholastic achievement among first-year students. To be inducted, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or better during their first full-time year.
