The Chelsea at East Brunswick celebrates 20th anniversary

EAST BRUNSWICK – The Chelsea at East Brunswick celebrated its 20th anniversary on April 17.

East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen read a proclamation honoring the Chelsea and recalled the experience of his late mother who, at age 102, had hip replacement surgery and lived to be 106. Cohen has been to many centennial birthday celebrations for residents, according to information provided by the Chelsea.

The Chelsea at East Brunswick was one of the first assisted living residences in the Chelsea family of communities, opening in 1998 at a time when assisted living was growing as a viable option for older Americans who needed a little extra help but didn’t yet need acute care services.

Executive Director Cynthia Rozenberg used the occasion to honor a number of employees with 10 or more years of service.
