Collier Youth Services, a nonprofit organization that provides educational, residential and recreational programs to young people in need, will host its annual fundraising gala on May 10 from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at Addison Park in Aberdeen Township.
This year’s gala is entitled, “A Time and Place for Us,” representing Collier’s longstanding service of children, teenagers and young adults living with a variety of challenges. During the gala, Collier will honor the Schoor Family Foundation and Bill Rubenstein, managing member of Rubenstein Properties, according to a press release.
Gala proceeds will support Collier’s nonprofit mission to empower at-risk youth to grow toward their potential in an environment that promotes belonging, dignity and hope. Based in the Wickatunk section of Marlboro, Collier operates Collier School, Kateri Programs and the Collier Residential Program, according to the press release.
According to Sister Debbie Drago, executive director of Collier Youth Services, the Schoor Family Foundation and Bill Rubenstein have been long-time supporter of Collier’s initiatives.
“Whether it be Collier High School, Collier Middle School, Kateri Day Camp, or our residential program for young women, the Schoor Family Foundation and Bill Rubenstein have recognized the life-changing impact of Collier’s services,” she said.
“Over many years, the Schoors and Rubensteins have contributed valuable time and donations to Collier because they have seen firsthand how Collier empowers young people of all abilities and backgrounds to develop skills for achieving independence and pursuing a healthy, fulfilled life.
“Collier’s work is universal, in support of at-risk, underprivileged youth. Investments from the Schoor Family Foundation and Bill Rubenstein, and from those who support our gala fundraiser, enable Collier to continue uplifting vulnerable children and teenagers from Monmouth County and across New Jersey,” Drago said.
The lead sponsor of Collier’s 2018 Gala is Woodhaven Lumber. Other key sponsors are Greenberg Traurig, LLP (Shepherd Sponsor), Rubenstein Properties (Shepherd Sponsor), and Lennar (Benefactor Sponsor). Additional sponsorships are available from $1,000 to $10,000.
Ad journal opportunities are priced from $4,000 to $200. Gala tickets are $225 each and include hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, dinner and live entertainment by Mission Dance. The gala will feature a 50/50 raffle, with tickets priced at $50 each, as well as a silent auction, according to the press release.
