More than 4,000 fourth grade students from across New Jersey participated in the Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey’s Design a Fourth Grade Folder contest this year, but just seven from Middlesex County earned recognition at the award ceremony at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant on May 7.
There were 32 fourth grade student finalists who received medals for their peer-to-peer substance use prevention artwork following the theme “Fun Things to Do Instead Of Doing Drugs.”
Area winners include Lauren Bonilla and Annie Onativia of Campbell Elementary School in Metuchen; Ashwika Anand, Anya Kaul and Rayhana Redza of James A. McDivitt Elementary School in Old Bridge; Sidney Reiman of St. Joseph School in Carteret; and Raika Stiglic of Minue School in Carteret.
