Centenary United Methodist Church will hold its annual Vacation Bible School from 6-8:30 p.m. on July 23-27 at the church, 200 Hillside Ave., Metuchen.
This year’s theme is “Babylon: Daniel’s Courage in Captivity,” and is open to all children and their families, and is free to all participants.
Children and adults at “Babylon” will also participate in a hands-on mission project, raising money to help aid the Kory Wawanaca Children’s Home in Bolivia. The orphanage, founded in 2015, serves boys and girls ages 5-18 who came through the Bolivian court system, and were often victims of abuse, trafficked or abandoned.
The VBS will include a “kid-friendly” meal beginning at 6 p.m., open to all. Also, Centenary’s VBS will feature a petting zoo one evening during the week, where children will have the chance to meet friendly animals.
