On Aug. 16, break out your island clothes for a Caribbean cruise-themed BBQ. Enjoy limbo, lunch and live entertainment by DJ Lou. Lunch starts at 11:15 a.m., followed by music at 12:15 p.m. Lunch costs $2.25. Registration required.
Summertime youth-run programs include lessons on Google Drive with Gmail from 10:45 a.m. to noon, Aug. 6 and 13; teaching Microsoft Excel spreadsheets from 10:45 a.m. to noon, Aug. 20; learning the Apple iPhone/iPad from 10:45 a.m. to noon, Aug. 27; Nintendo Wii bowling tournament at 10:45 a.m., Aug. 7 and 21; ladderball at 10:45 a.m., Aug. 14 and 28; horse racing at 12:15 p.m., Aug. 6 and 20; windchime making at 12:30 p.m., Aug. 14; photo frame making at 12:30 p.m., Aug. 28; and origami at 12:15 p.m., Aug. 22.
The movie “The Leisure Seeker” will be shown at 12:30 p.m., Aug. 2. “The Book Club” will be shown at 12:30 p.m., Aug. 28. The Bollywood movie “Mughal-e-Azam” will be shown at 10:30 a.m., Aug. 24.
Students from Bright Horizons preschool and South Brunswick teens will come together for an intergenerational event, the Mini Mates Carnival, from 12:15-1:15 p.m. ,Aug. 23. There will be carnival games and potato sack races.
