Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services (MCFOODS) and Feeding Middlesex County have several volunteer opportunities available through October.
During “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” part of the Plays-in-the-Parks series at Roosevelt Park, Edison, volunteers are needed from 7-8 p.m. Aug. 10 and/or Aug. 11 to accept donations from show patrons. Volunteers should engage with guests, hand out informational fliers, ask guests to leave a business card or fill out a form to enter a raffle for a $50 restaurant gift card.
The EARTH Center open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 18 at Davidson’s Mill Pond Park, 42 Riva Ave., South Brunswick. Volunteers will man the table, share information and accept donations.
During the Middlesex County Labor Day Concert, volunteers are needed from 3-4 p.m. Sept. 3 in Roosevelt Park.
Shoprite in Spotswood will hold a food drive from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 21 at the store, 380 Summerhill Road. Volunteers are needed to hand out fliers and accept donations from shoppers as they enter and exit the store.
During the Monroe Fall Harvest Food Drive, volunteers are needed from 9-11 a.m. Oct. 13 to pass out bags and fliers to residents of the Clearbrook and Concordia adult communities.
