Residents who wanted to run for a seat on their local school board had until July 30 to file a nominating petition. The school board election will be held on Nov. 6.
Four candidates are seeking three available three-year terms on the Millstone Township K-8 School District Board of Education.
The board oversees the operation of the Millstone Township Primary School, the Millstone Township Elementary School and the Millstone Township Middle School.
The terms of board members Billy Hanson, John Sico and Amy Jacobson are ending in December. Jacobson, who has served on the board since 2009, is not seeking re-election.
The four candidates seeking the three seats are Hanson, Sico, Christine Reese and former board member John Saxton.
And, four candidates have filed to run for three three-year seats on the Upper Freehold Regional School District Board of Education. This year, all three seats on the ballot are for representatives from Upper Freehold Township.
The board oversees the operation of the Newell Elementary School, the Stone Bridge Middle School and Allentown High School. There are seven residents of Upper Freehold and two residents of Allentown serving on the board.
The terms of board members Michele Anthony, Howard Krieger and Richard Smith will end in December. The four candidates seeking the three seats are Anthony, Krieger, Smith and Brett Williams.
