South Brunswick seniors invited to activities in September

The following programs will be held at the Office on Aging, South Brunswick Senior Center, located in the Municipal Complex, Route 522, for South Brunswick resident members age 55 and older.

Watch TED Talks videos and participate in discussion facilitated by the South Brunswick senior center social worker. “Watson, Jeopardy and Me” is at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 5. “My Descent Into America’s Neo-Nazi Movement and How I Got Out” is at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12.

The following movies will be shown: “Overboard,” 12:30 p.m. Sept. 6; “Adrift,” 12:30 p.m. Sept. 25; and “Barfi,” a Bollywood movie, 10:30 a.m. Sept. 28.

The South Brunswick Police Department will present a lecture on disaster preparation at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 20.  Maurice Mahler will speak about the artist Edgar Degas at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 21.

Celebrate National Senior Center Month and the beginning of autumn on Sept. 27. Lunch will be served at 11:15 a.m. for a donation of $2.25 to the Middlesex County Meal Program. At 12:15 p.m., there will be live musical entertainment by Pam & Steve. Sign up by Sept. 20.
