Activities planned for annual Franklin Day Festival on Sept. 22

The 5th Annual Franklin Day Festival will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sept. 22 in Colonial Park, Lot C, Elizabeth Avenue, Somerset.

The festival will include live music, more than 150 vendors, more than 20 food trucks, dance performances, a classic car show, a pickleball demonstration, shopping, free paddle boats and miniature golf.

The ArtWalk will feature local photography and artwork for sale from local artists and Franklin Township students. 

The festival will also feature the Franklin Township Community Farmers Market’s closing day.

Children can enjoy free pony rides, a snake and reptile exhibit, bouncy houses, bubble soccer, a petting zoo, games, activities and Touch-a-Truck vehicles. 

The FDF Main Stage will feature live music from Groove City Band and Funktion11.

The N.J. Army National Guard will bring its climbing wall for children, and are also scheduled to land a Black Hawk helicopter.

The event is sponsored by CompoSecure, L’Oreal USA, Oticon, Procure Proton Therapy, PSE&G, Rutgers Preparatory School and other local businesses.

Cars can enter the park via Elizabeth Avenue or Mettlers Road. Free entrance and free parking.
