Spotswood pig roast will include beers brewed by priest

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual Community Pig Roast from 4-7 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the church, located at the intersection of Main Street and Devoe Avenue, Spotswood.

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, St. Peter’s has named Frank Juba, store manager of ShopRite of Spotswood, as its honorary pig master.

Also new this year will be the Divine Beer Garden with home-brewed beers created by Father Marshall: Fisherman’s Net, a Scottish Export style ale, and Peter’s Shore Cast: The Stout Fisherman, a dry Irish Stout.

The event will benefit St. Peter’s and its charitable work, including the Wednesday Night Community Suppers, outreach garden, Alice’s CUP food pantry and the thrift shop.

Tickets cost $20 per person or $60 for a four-meal, buy three, get one free value package.
