Summit. Robert D Wargo, 85, died in Morristown on August 28. He was born in Titusville and lived there for many years. Following his return from the Army, he bought a home in Chambersburg where lived for a number of years before moving to Summit where he resided for 30 years.
Bob was a graduate of Central High School of Hopewell Township, Class of 1950. He served with the U.S. Army, 881st Ordinance Co in Hanau, Germany during the occupation of Germany following World War II. He was a former employee of U.S. Steel, Fairless Works in Trenton.
He was the son of the late John W. and Elizabeth Urban Wargo , and brother of the late Alice Wargo Speers and Irene Wargo D’Arcy. He was also predeceased by his partner of many years, Vicky Cherry. He is survived by his brother John Wargo, Jr. and his wife Marie of Longwood, Florida, three nephews, Robert Speers, David Wargo and Lance Wargo and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 13, at 11:00 a.m. in Harbourton Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington, for condolences visit the website at blackwellmh.com.
