Cheesequake State Park has scheduled the following events and programs for the fall:
- A bird rescue program at 1 p.m. on Sept. 23. Meet at the Nature Center for a program on avian rescue. Live birds will be present for viewing. All ages welcome.
- Learn about the astronomical features of the area at 5 p.m., Oct. 7, at the Front Office Field Area. Ages 8 and up.
- A fall foliage hike will begin at 1 p.m., Oct. 20, at the Nature Center. Ages 8 and up.
- A forest trail hike will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Nature Center. Ages 9 and older.
- A nature hike will be held at 1 p.m., Nov. 11, at the Nature Center. Ages 9 and up.
- A nature craft project for ages 6 and up will be held at 1 p.m., Nov. 25, at the Nature Center.
The programs are all free of charge.
