The Friends of Princeton Nursery Lands and Kingston Greenways Association will hold an afternoon of stewardship in the Mapleton Preserve, former home site of Princeton Nurseries, from 1-4 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the Mapleton Preserve, 145 Mapleton Road, Kingston.
As part of the National Public Lands Day Work Session, volunteers will help remove brush, vines, and invasive saplings and shrubs, care for trees in the Flemer Arboretum, or collect litter with the trash crew.
Participants are invited to bring their favorite tools to the event: loppers, saws, rakes and shovels. Wear sturdy clothing, shoes and gloves.
