Monmouth Arts to hold futuristic fundraiser “Stardust” Oct. 6

Monmouth Arts will stage its annual fundraising gala “Stardust” on Oct. 6 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Bell Works in Holmdel.

Bell Works, the former Bell Laboratories, is located at 101 Crawfords Corner Road.

The star-studded event is a futuristic fundraiser that heralds the multitude of art projects and programs, the visionary artists who imagine and create them, and the generous patrons of the arts throughout the county, according to a press release.

Monmouth Arts is an independent 501c(3) arts advocacy organization that delivers programs and services to artists, member organizations and art affiliates to ensure the arts thrive in Monmouth County.

Monmouth Arts collectively undertakes actions that reflect its core values as it seeks to elevate the visibility of the arts in the community, increase and diversify membership, and expand its influence on behalf of the arts, according to the press release.

“We live in a world of ever-evolving technology that touches every part of our lives,” said Teresa Staub, executive director of Monmouth Arts. “Stardust, a futuristic fundraiser, celebrates the nexus of art and technology. Whether it’s our gala venue Bell Works, the original Eero Saarinen-designed Bell Labs which housed over 6,000 engineers and researchers and is now enjoying a renaissance as an incubator for high-tech start-ups, or Microsoft, the technological behemoth, which offers a Virtual Reality Painting Experience.”

The event will be emceed by Monmouth County personality Stephen Rubino. The gala will include performances, a virtual reality painting experience, a silent auction, a live auction, dessert, and an awards ceremony.
