The Monmouth Ocean Regional Realtors (MORR) chose Kenneth “Kip” Walker III, RE/MAX Paradigm Realty Group, as 2018 Realtor of the Year, and Barbara Kenas, RE/MAX Central, as 2018 Realtor Associate of the Year. These individuals are recognized for their effort and work expended in the interest of their community, humanitarian services, in the interest and cause of the Realtor Association, their profession and their clients.
Walker, of Brielle, is the 2018 president of the Monmouth Ocean Regional Realtors. He has been a licensed real estate agent in New Jersey since 1980, received his appraiser’s license in 1991 and broker’s license in 2000. He has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Realtors, New Jersey Realtors and has been on the MORR Board of Directors since 2005. He is currently a committee member for the National Association of Realtors.
A third generation Monmouth County Realtor and active member of the MORR for many years, Walker has been chairperson of the MORR MLS Committee and has served on the Nominating Committee.
Over the years, he has volunteered for a number of local organizations and has dedicated his time to creating scholarships for economically challenged children to attend basketball camp.
Kenas became a licensed real estate agent in New Jersey in 1983 and is currently an agent at RE/MAX Central. She is an active member of MORR, New Jersey Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She has been a recipient of the New Jersey Realtors Circle of Excellence Sales Award for approximately 30 years.
Kenas, of Marlboro, has been a champion for Covenant House in Newark, whose mission is to rescue, educate and launch “at-risk” homeless teens. She developed and launched Jeans for Teens, a program to fill a gap of appropriate clothing for children and teens who are sheltered or at risk.
