Kellyann Skorupski of Howell, the co-owner of Chores NJ, a lifestyle management and concierge services company based in Wall Township, has been named a recipient of a Golden Osprey Award by the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce. The awards are given to those who have contributed significantly to the betterment of the Jersey Shore and the business community. The award ceremony and dinner will be held on Oct. 18 from 6-9 p.m. at Jumping Brook Country Club, Neptune. Skorupski volunteers with the American Cancer Society, serving on the Tides of Change Gala committee; the Jersey Shore Golf Classic committee; and the Corporate Leadership Council of the American Cancer Society. She has organized charity fundraising events for friends battling cancer. As a member of the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce, Skorupski was the chairwoman of the summer kickoff event for the chamber. She also serves on the marketing committee, among other chamber committees. Skorupski and her business partner, Stephanie Marsh of Howell, pride themselves on Chores being a community driven business.
The Monmouth Ocean Regional Realtors have chosen Kenneth Walker III, RE/MAX Paradigm Realty Group, as 2018 Realtor of the Year, and Barbara Kenas, RE/MAX Central, as 2018 Realtor Associate of the Year. Walker, of Brielle, is the 2018 president of the Monmouth Ocean Regional Realtors. Over the years, he has volunteered for local organizations and has dedicated his time to creating scholarships for economically challenged children to attend basketball camp. Kenas, of Marlboro, became a licensed real estate agent in New Jersey in 1983. She has been a recipient of the New Jersey Realtors Circle of Excellence Sales Award for approximately 30 years. Kenas has been a beacon of multiple causes throughout New Jersey. She has been a champion for Covenant House in Newark, whose mission is to rescue, educate and launch at-risk homeless teens. Kenas developed and launched “Jeans for Teens,” a program to fill a gap of appropriate clothing for children and teens who are sheltered or at risk.
Eva Ling, manager of Weichert, Realtors’ Jackson office, has announced that sales associates and staff members from her office will participate in the 2018 Jackson Day community celebration scheduled for Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at John F. Johnson Jr. Memorial Park. The event will offer an arts and crafts fair, a flea market, more than 150 vendors, a car show, and live entertainment featuring concerts by AM Gold and The Fabulous Greaseband. Free children’s activities include amusement rides, pony rides, hay rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, and trick-or-treating at the vendor booths from noon to 4 p.m. “My team is looking forward to great music and delicious food, all while sharing information about our real estate services with those who may be interested in buying or selling a home,” Ling said. “Jackson Day is always a wonderful celebration of autumn and the town’s community spirit.
