Medical professionals invited to learn about transportation issues

Transportation Challenges for Healthcare and Business: Building a Healthier Middlesex County will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.

The conference will explore the challenges the medical industry faces in providing transportation to clients and patients. Keynote speaker Senator Patrick Diegnan, chairman of the Transportation Committee, will be followed by three panels including experts from Lyft, RoundTrip and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, covering topics such as healthcare mobility and best practices and solutions.

The conference is hosted by Saint Peter’s University Hospital, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Keep Middlesex Moving and Healthier Middlesex. Bert Baron, morning radio show host for WCTC 1450AM, will moderate.

The free half-day conference is open to medical and business professionals.
