Forsgate hires new golf director

Forsgate Country Club announced that Bill Schmedes III has been hired as the new Director of Golf Instruction.

The  golf course in Monroe Township club announced the hiring on Oct. 1.

Schmedes III spent the past four years as Director of Instruction at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster. He has also worked with some of the top golfers in the world and been ranked as one of the top coaches in the country.

The veteran instructor has helped 14 tour players on the PGA, LPGA, European and Web.com tours. His students have earned more than 250 victories on the junior, amateur and professional levels. Golf Digest rated Schmedes as a Best Young Teacher in America. Golf Tips Magazine named him to its Top 30 Instructor list.

Bill will offer both individual and group training programs that allow for each individual to train accordingly in order to reach his or her goals. Schmedes lives in Hackettstown with his wife.
