Republicans earned my vote with recent land acquisition

To the editor:

The announcement of the purchase of 330 acres, located between Mountain View Park and Ann Van Middlesworth Park signifies another step forward in Hillsborough’s fight to slow residential development and, also provide facilities for our community’s needs. Instead of possibly 2,000 houses, it will be the location for other positive uses for our town, including park development and trails.

This development needs the leadership of knowledgeable experienced people like Ron Skobo, former director of Parks and Recreation, and Shawn Lipani, current township committee member, both of whom have pledged continued support for open space preservation and expanded recreation opportunities, a key factor in naming Hillsborough as one of the best places to live in New Jersey.

For this example of proven leadership, I ask you to vote for Lipani and Skobo on Election Day, November 6.
