An Edison man remains at large, charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of an unlawful purpose in the death of a man from New Brunswick.
Christopher “C-Dub” Thompson, 26, is being sought by authorities, according to information provided by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department.
Eric “E-Z” Inman, 25, of New Brunswick, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick pending his first court appearance.
On Oct. 26 at approximately 8 p.m., New Brunswick police were alerted to a shooting in the area of Robeson Village. Police arrived to find Larenz Ogarro, 23, of New Brunswick, lying in a parking lot on Van Dyke Avenue, the apparent victim of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the statement.
Ogarro was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. The Middlesex County Medical Examiner determined that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds – manner of death was homicide, according to the statement.
An investigation by Detective Kenneth Abode of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective David Abromaitis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that Thompson and Inman were allegedly involved in the fatal shooting of Ogarro, and the assault of a 19-year-old man from North Brunswick.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office is still working in conjunction with the New Brunswick Police Department to locate and apprehend the other suspect.
