Donald M. Bergen D.D.S. of Summerville, SC died on November 7, 2018 at Roper Cottage, Mount Pleasant, SC. Born in Trenton, NJ on June 21, 1931, son of the late Donald M. Bergen and Mildred E. Bergen. He was preceded in death by his brother Edward Bergen and granddaughter Megan Lipka. Dr. Bergen formerly resided in Hopewell, NJ for 57 years, moved to Charleston, SC, then to Summerville, SC.
Donald graduated from the Hill School, University of Pennsylvania, and the NJ College of Medicine and Dentistry (now Rutgers). He served in the army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Bergen (Kressler), sons Donald Bergen III, Peter Bergen, husband to Andrea (Hall), daughter Elizabeth Lipka (Bergen) wife of Harold Lipka, grandchildren Ben, William and Sarah Lipka and Caleb and Jacob Bergen.
A private graveside service to be held in Riegelsville, PA at a later date.
