SOUTH BRUNSWICK – In a symbol of unity and harmony for South Brunswick, a local Boy Scout created the Diversity Wall for inclusion at the South Brunswick Library.
The Eagle Scout Service Project by Param Shah, a resident of South Brunswick who attends high school at Rutgers Preparatory School, was unveiled on Nov. 18.
The Diversity Wall, with Planet Earth in the middle, consists of flags from the 196 U.N. member countries. It delivers the message of the United States motto “e pluribus unum” (out of many, one) to this world.
The Diversity Wall is a volunteer community service project built with support from more than 100 local volunteers and funding from local citizens and businesses. The Diversity Wall is a reminder to us all that people from various backgrounds and different parts of the world can live together in peace and harmony: a wall by the people, of the people and for the people.
