A review of the Toms River high school football teams

 

Here is a look at on how the Toms River high school football teams fared this past weekend

TOMS RIVER HIGH SCHOOL EAST

Toms River High School East lost at home to Red Bank Catholic High School on Sept. 28, 35-0.

The Raiders, who dropped to 1-3 on the season, will travel to Red Bank Regional High School for a Shore Conference division matchup on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.

TOMS RIVER HIGH SCHOOL NORTH

Toms River High School North lost on the road by a field goal to Freehold Township High School on Sept. 28, 16-14. The Mariners lost dropped the team’s record to 3-1 on the season. The Mariners will play home to Middletown High School South on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.

Toms River North quarterback Jake Kazanowsky threw for 81 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Freehold Township while running back Jarrod Pruitt rushed for 144 yards and fellow  back Dashawn Wilder scored a touchdown.

 

TOMS RIVER HIGH SCHOOL SOUTH

Toms River High School South will seek its first victory of the season when the Indians travel to play Ocean Township High School on Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.

The Indians lost to Long Branch High School on the road on Sept. 28, 42-0. The loss dropped Toms River South to 0-4 on the season.
